From Janette (Angel) Ross

I didn't realize that some didn't know about Greg's illness. A form of frontal temporal dementia
called "Picks". This brain disease acts almost like alzheimer's, but there are differences. The onset for Greg was maybe 4 years ago when Vernon & Merilyn took him to a specialist & got the diagnosis. The Drs gave Greg only 6 months to 2 yearrs, but he surpassed those years.
For the past year, he was living in a care center in Wichita.

He has a son, Stormy, who was a freshman @ Mid-American Nazarene College last year on a football scholarship; he looks just like Greg did growing up. Also, a beautiful daughter, Shaylee who is going to be a freshman in HS in Leoti this year. His wife, Jan, divorced him about 4 years ago. but has maintained close contact with the family and made sure the kids visited their dad as often as possible. Jan is an RN @ one of the hospital's out west, but I don't think there's one in Leota. I can't remember exactly where she works. She was there for Doc & Merilyn's 50th and in all the family photos last October, even tho Greg could not attend.

Also, some have emailed about an address for Vernon & Merilyn:
801 Brown Thrush
Wichita, KS 67212

My cousin, Mary Angel Diacon, sent the website that tells about Picks.

From Dan Hoisington after the service at the Paradise Cemetery

The White service on Sun. was very nice. There were about 40 to 50 people there. Eric Haberer did the service and did a great job. I think he is a natural. This, being the third service for the White's was very well worth having a final Service at the Cemetery.
