UPDATE AND PICTURES - DAN HOISINGTON

224005
.

Kimberly Hoisington sent an update for her father-in-law, Dan and cute pictures that were the best medicine for him.  Just for the record, Dan signs all of his emails, etc to me, "Star."
He thinks he is my Star student.

Happy Birthday, Mona.  I'm sure this is one of your best birthdays, to be with your husband.
Kimberly said . . . .

"
A new update for your “star student”! Ha!
These cute little babies are at it again! We traveled to visit Grandpa Dan and Grandma Mona. Grandpa is still in the hospital, but doing well. They removed the last of the tubes this afternoon. So far, he’s still on track to be released tomorrow. We also enjoyed getting to spend some time with Grandma on her birthday. Thank you to everyone for your prayers!"

223894
.

We received great news from Kimberly Hoisington last night.
Thank You Kimberly for taking out time to keep us posted.

Thank You Lord for answering our prayers!

"
Dan has done a total 360 since yesterday morning. What a difference in a day! He’s doing awesome!
They moved him out of the ICU today into a regular room. If he continues progress like today, the surgeon said they might release him on Monday!"

Thank You Matt for keeping us posted.  If you look at the number at the top left of each of these posts, you can see how many people are reading the blog.  The number certainly is increasing on each of these posts about Dan.  It lets us know that so many are praying.
Thank You!

Just received this from Matt . . . .

"All but one of the tubes have been removed and Dad will be moved out of icu later today."

UPDATE FOR DAN HOISINGTON

223477
.

I heard from Matt (one of Dan's sons) this afternoon. I had sent them all a message saying that we were all praying for his Dad and for all of his family.
Matt said . . . . .

"Thank you so much! We will take all the prayers we can get. That was a close one but means God has more work for him (and fun) to do here on earth. We love you!"

I asked him how his Dad was doing by now and if he had started giving the nurses a bad time. Matt - "He was when I left. He will test them for sure! Ha! The nurses love it, though!" Then, this evening I heard from Mollie Haberer . . . "Danny made it through the open heart surgery and they discovered it was a tear in his aorta rather than an aneurysm. The next 2 days are critical. I will update whenever I hear anything."

PARADISE REUNION - Thank You Photographers

Sorry I have been so slow. The photographers were great about sending photos immediately after the reunion. My computer has a virus so I haven't been able to post the pictures here on the blog. We recently purchased a Chromebook from the Emporia Middle School, as they are getting new Chromebooks next year. Naturally, you know me, I don't learn to do things very quickly. Today, my wonderful granddaughter, Jacey, came to visit us. What would have taken me three days to do, she did in one hour. Being an 8th grader this year, she has all the technical savvy that her grandmother doesn't have.
