Betty (Jennrich) Soukup (1950)

Harold Hudnall asked Betty at the reunion if she knew who Karen Jakub was and Betty said no. After being told, Betty said Karen has a "fuller" face than she remembered! Karen promptly thanked her for pointing that out! Betty said she would be 79 next month and Karen teasingly said, "I may have a fat face, but I'm not going to be 79 years old!"

Later on, Betty came back to Karen's table and Karen said, "Betty, let me get a picture of you before you get any older." That is where this picture came from. Karen took a lot of ribbing about the whole deal the rest of the night by those who were told about it. Karen's ex brother-in-law, Rodney Heitschmidt, especially liked Betty's statement. I'm sure he will remember that for many years.!
