The light from the windows in the auditorium were making such a glare that the names didn't show up on the bottom 2 ladies. One is Marie Edin and the other is Alice Brenner.

PARADISE GRADUATES 1918-1922

The first Paradise Annual was published in 1919.
It was named the PARADISE SUNFLOWER.
I posted the annual, beginning on February 3, 2010.
It just takes a few minutes to scroll down to "Older Posts" to see the 10 posts that includes the Annual in full.

However, this annual does not show photos of each of the students when they were Senior and we do not have any other Class Photos until the Class of 1929.

These were the students at the time the Annual was published.

The Post graduates graduated in 1918.

Seniors graduated in 1919.

This verifies the years.

I also have a book that Millard's Mother wrote in and has the above names in those years.

GREAT NEWS FROM PENNY (ROUNKLES) LOKER

"Hi Everybody !!!!
Just a short note to tell you I'm finished with Home Health Care Friday and/or they are finished with me Friday!!!!!! (3 weeks). I walk out on the street in front of my house now with the cane !!!! It feels so good to get out of house. We had some rain so it has cooled down 10 degrees !!!! I'm walking in the house now with "no cane". Walker sets by my bed in case I need to use it at night, but it's been a week since I've used it !!!!!!!!! My balance is good and I feel strong !!!! Had to go to Dr. yesterday & get a steroid shot in right knee because it was hurting soo---- bad. Physical Therapy wanted me to go up stairs and she said use "good knee",
I said--- 'which one is my "good knee" now' !!!!!!!
Got shot and we are going strong again !!!!!!
Thanks for all your prayer's and positive thoughts !!!!!

HENDERSHOTT (Strecker/Angel) FAMILY REUNION

The Hendershott Family Reunion was June 23rd and 24th at Wilson Lake.
The descendents of Ray and Laura Irene Hendershott and their partners/spouses enjoyed the week end having a
wonderful time catching up, enjoying the lake, eating, drinking, laughing and celebrating Devin Strecker's birthday.

MARY "BEA" (BEALBY) LANGE (Class of 1945)

Mary “Bea” (Bealby) Lange, 84,

Wichita Falls, Texas

and former

Paradise, Kansas, resident

died on

Thursday, July 5, 2012,

at the

Royal Estates in Wichita Falls.

Bea was born on October 18, 1927, in Paradise, Kansas,

the daughter of James A. and Mary V. (Booth) Bealby.

She grew up in the Paradise area and graduated from Paradise High School in 1945.

She was united in marriage to Melvin H. Lange on December 21, 1946, in Robstown, Texas. Melvin preceded Bea in death on January 11, 2005.
From this union Bea and Melvin were blessed with three children Dina, Audrey and Arthur.
Bea worked as a secretary for the Kansas State Department, but her fulltime job was acting as homemaker for her growing family.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church as well as a member of the Home Extension Club, NCO Wife’s Club and the Lioness Club. She enjoyed reading and cooking but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving family include her daughter Dina Redmon and husband Robert of Wichita Falls, Texas, daughter Audrey Bee and husband Don of Wichita Falls, Texas, and son Arthur Lange and wife Dana of Marquette, Kansas; brother Steve Bealby and wife Madonna of Kansas City; 1 grandchild, 3 step granddaughters,
and 5 step great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother J.L. Bealby.

A graveside memorial service to honor

Bea's life

will be held at

11 A.M. on Wednesday, July 11, 2012,

at the

Mt. Hermon Cemetery - Paradise, Kansas,

with

Pastor Allison Williams officiating.

Cremation has preceded the service and inurnment of the cremains will follow the graveside service.

A reception will be held at the Paradise United Methodist Church immediately following the graveside service.

Cards and condolences may be sent in care of the mortuary.

Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell is in charge of the funeral service.
