A couple of weeks ago Kim Hoisington (Dan & Mona's daughter-in-law) sent these articles to me. It is so thoughtful when people think of this blog when they read something. Thank You Kim - and Dan too.
Kim wrote . . . .
"Dan and I found these while
going through Mt Hermon cemetery papers and thought they we"re
interesting.
Dan thought "Swede"
graduated from Paradise in 35 or 36.
Have a great
afternoon!
Kim"
These two articles are typed below.

Paradise is a beautiful little town on Paradise Creek,
laid out by the Kansas City Town Site Co. about 1884. The first post office was ½ mile west of the
present townsite on the A.A. Houser homestead (part of which still stands in
1977. It was then moved to the Kennedy
homestead and then to Dr. Fosters homestead east of town about 1884.
The 1st school was taught ½ mi west of town
under a big tree by Miss Woods. The 1st
