-----The following is very good news for Donnie and for all those praying for
her!!.
Donnie received
current cancer test results today at Tammy Walker Cancer Center in Salina. The
results were very good, with a cancer count of 6.4 and having dropped from the
previous test of 18.
Donnie went to KU
Medical Center November 14, 2012 for Internal Radiation Therapy- using
SIR-Spheres. She did not have chemotherapy leading up to the radiation and has
not had any since. The cat-scan from last week did not show any shrinkage of
the tumor, but that could change over the next three of four months. The most
important point today was that the radiation did kill cancer cells.
The Oncology Doctor
advised Donnie, she is the first patient he has sent to KU Med for this method
of radiation treatment and it has worked!!. The next appointment is March 23rd.
