Charles Dale White,
85, died at his his home in Kimball, Neb., July 19, 2009.

He was born in Paradise, Ks, Feb. 21, 1924, the son of Charles J. and Ula (Bartlet) White.
He received his early education in Great Divide, Colo.
He moved with his family to Paradise, Ks in 1935 and graduated from Paradise High School. After completing high school, he farmed in the Paradise area for a short time before enlisting in the US Army, Aug. 14, 1944. He was stationed in Germany during World War II. Shortly after transferring to Germany, he was captured as a prisoner of war and was held for 45 days in Stugardt, Germany.
He was married to Doris Irene Keller in Osborne, Ks on Dec. 26, 1944. He finished out his enlistment in the Army and was discarged, Oct. 14, 1945. The family returned to Paradise and farmed.
He later purchased a farm south of Natoma. In 1952, he started a custom seed cleaning business. He sold the family farm in 1953 to keep up with the demands of the seed cleaning business.
The family moved to Hill City and then to Russell and then, in 1960, to Plainville.
In 1999, he retired and moved to Kimball, Neb.
He enjoyed trucking and farming and in his early years he enjoyed hunting and trapping.
He was a minister of the Jehovah's Witnesses.
His family and friends were very important to him.
He and his wife loved to travel.
Survivors include his wife: Doris, Kimball, Neb.
son: Gale (Rita) White, Denver, Colo.
daughters: Connie (Rod) Cooper, Crossville, Tenn., and Linda (Jeff) Lewis, Plainville.
Brothers: Ivan (Joyce) White, Kimball, Neb.; Vernone (Merilyn) White, Wichita; and Forest (Sue) White, Houston, Tesas.
Sisters: Violet Parson, Overland Park, Ks. and Garnett Angel, Paradise, Ks.
15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or services.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah Witnesses, Kimball, Neb.
Cantrell Funeral Home, Kimball, Neb. was in charge of the arrangements.
