It is The Veteran
Who serves Under the Flag,

Battle Hymn Rendition
One of the fathers of some high school students recorded this,
added some graphic enhancements to the recording,
and posted it on the web.
The song, of course, is the
'Battle Hymn Of The Republic.'

A full-screen effect is great.

FROM TRAVIS ANGEL'S PHOTO'S ON FACEBOOK

6
In Sept. 2008 I posted some photos of Travis and his family.
I saw these on Facebook and decided to share them with you.

Travis' caption for this photo is

"The road goes on forever and the party never ends...
On K-18 heading to Paradise, KS.
Taken May 17, 2007"

He still looks the same and is as good looking as he was
in the photos I posted in Sept.

Wow! Look at Alice!
She has really grown. Isn't she a cutie?
She is 2 years old now.

"Alice at the 2008 Indiana State Fair
drinking a huge glass of freshly squeezed lemonade. Ahhh...Lemonade." (Travis' captions)

"Alice at the 2008 Indiana State Fair feeding a fake pig."
How many comments do you suppose Travis will get about the
Swine Flu?

"Went to visit Natalie today at work.
Had lunch on the canal and it was sunny and perfect."
I'm sure this was a delightful lunch for Natalie - May 12, 2009.

SONG FOR ANNIKA

Shannon Tichenor - Annika Knudson - Jayke Workman - Erin Scherl

What a thrill! We listen to Kansas Public Radio (Lawrence, KS) every morning.

If you scroll down (on this blog), you will see that I heard our "own" Scott Tichenor's name on KPR one morning as he and his wife, Amy and their daughter, Shannon, made a money contribution to KPR during their "drive". This gave me opportunity to find out more about Scott, which at this time I even had an e-mail from Stu and heard a little bit about Steve. That was a very exciting time for me. I checked out Scott's web site. http://www.mandolincafe.com/
This tells about Scott and his business . . . . . . . . . The Mandolin Cafe http://www.mandolincafe.com/us.html

On Scott's web site, he had a link to a story about his daughter, Shannon, and her friends. This was a very touching story just to read it.

And, of course, it made me just a wee bit proud to think that Scott was a former student of mine at Paradise as all of my students are very special to me and I have such wonderful and fond memories of them.

This morning - again on Kansas Public Radio - they had an interview with Shannon and her friends. Such a touching story and so remarkable!
