CLASS PICTURES FROM HANGING PHOTOS IN PHS AUDITORIUM

.
Our photographer took pictures of all the Class Photos that are hanging in the Auditorium/Gymnasium.
I have been trying to get them ready to put on the blog but please be patient.  I had cataract surgery on both eyes and I'm waiting for glasses that will fit my eyes now.  I think I have one more week then I will feel dressed and will be able to see again.  In the meantime it has been somewhat frustrating.  Not "somewhat" but VERY!
.
Below is a chart that Google provides our Blog each day to show the traffice that is on Paradise Blog.  For a small school and a small town I find this to be very interesting and I feel very rewarded for this amount of traffic daily.  When an Administrator of the blog logs into the Paradise Blog, their log in is not counted.  I am very happy for that because it sometimes takes me from 10 to 12 clicks on the blog to get everything corrected.
THANK YOU TO EACH OF YOU FOR JOINING US EACH DAY, WEEK OR MONTH.
WE APPRECAITE ALL OF YOU!

We put the count at the bottom of each post that we post to compare with the number at the left of the page, but I love charts and/or graphs.

NEW NEWS FROM PENNY

.
This was on facebook this morning . . . .

Dear Family and friends !!!
Thanks for all the cards and phone calls !!!!! We went to Kearney, Neb to see my knee Dr. yesterday . they took x-rays and he came talked to us. He said everything was perfect and I was doing good. Kick up the Physical therapy. They will come to house 3 times this coming week !!!!! They took out the 31 staples and let me tell you that hurt. Gary had me hold h...is hand, and towards the end end he said "don't break my hand !!!! " Some of them bleed but they put strips of tape over them. Everything is good there!!! They were starting to pull so it's good to have them out. I was exhausted when we got home-- think I slept all the way home !!! My main 2 goals for this week are exercise 2-3 times a day and "DON"T FALL !!!!!" Guys are still cutting wheat and it's turning out good for everybody !!!! Hopefully Sunday night they will be done. Thanks again , Love,  Penny Rounkles Loker

NEWS FROM LOIS (ROUNKLES) BONAR ABOUT PENNY

.
I just received an email from Lois concerning Penny's knee surgery.

"Hi, Onnalee,  Gary just called me and Penny is out of surgery and is in recovery doing fine!!!    A new knee will do her wonders!!!!     Lois"

That is great news.  Please continue to pray for Penny.  From what I understand, there is a lot of pain afterwards and sometimes physical therapy is quite hard but necessary for a good recovery.

PRAYER FOR PENNY (ROUNKLES) LOKER

.

Penny Loker
is going to have
left knee surgery, replace whole knee,
 Mon. June 11th.
Please pray for her and her family.

They moved Penny up a week for her surgery so the story is changed.
Oh My Goodness!  She isn't going to get to help with wheat harvest so her preparation for her surgery, cutting wheat, will not happen for her.  I'm sure that is a blessing in disguise.  :)

On Sun (June 10th) they will go to Kearney for a 4:00 p.m. 2 hour class and free supper and will have a free motel.  She will check into the hospital Mon. morning for her scheduled surgery.  She said that she wants to be back to her room late afternoon and she will be glad to have it over with.
"She has things to do, places to go and people to meet."
Gary, Penny's husband, will have to go back home Monday night or Tuesday morning and help cut wheat.  When farming - including wheat - is your livelihood it is necessary to take care of it when it is ready.
Penny said that she will leave Kearney on the 14th (Thursday) and be admitted to the Cheyenne County Hospital for a while.  The length of time will probably depend on how well Penny does.  Knowing Penny, she will need to be in the hospital until all of the harvesting is done.  I have a feeling the Dr's know that too.  :)
Love and Prayers to you and your family Penny.  And most of all . . . . don't over do it.

We traveled from N.W. Ks to Colorado, south to N.M. and west on I-40. Went to the Grand Canyon & Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Drove across London Bridge.

Next stop was Los Angelos, California. Stayed with cousins there for 4 days. Visited Disneyland, Queen Mary Ship, Redondo Beach, & Gene Autry Museum.

Then we headed North to San Francisco, California to meet cousins there for the 1st time. For 3 days they drove us all over S.F. and took us to many great restaurants. Lois and I took a boat ride and went all around the bay and under the Golden Gate Bridge and by Alcatraz the prison.  (The above picture was taken outside The Cliff House (a retaurant) by the bay.)
.
Then we headed East on I-80, stopped in Salt Lake City and had supper with a cousin we had never met before.
.
Penny did the driving and Lois did the map reading. We were gone 15 days !!! We had a blast !!!!!!
